In some cases, attaching files to an email message
will
yield unpredictable results. Uploading files to our FTP
Site is an easy and inexpensive way to send files
to
Alpha Press, as well as the most reliable form of
electronic
submission. You must have a program that
will access ftp sites in order to send your files
this way.
Shareware is readily available. For Macintosh, we
recommend Transmit or Fetch. For IBM/clones,
we suggest WS_FTP.

Before you access the ftp site, compress the files
you want to send us into one file using Stuffit or PKZip. Be sure to
include your main layout file, any placed graphic or eps files and all
of the fonts used in the job (including all screen and printer fonts).
It is also helpful to include a basic read me text file listing all the
files you have compressed and any special instructions for your job.
Send an email to your salesperson alerting
him or her of the job, and attach a PDF that represents the final
layout file.

If you experience any problems, please contact your
salesperson.
Because of the wide variety of ftp programs
available, we cannot explain exactly how to do this for the program you
may have. If you have a Macintosh and Transmit or Fetch, please scroll
to that section.
